For the newly natural it can be very frustrating coming across terms and abbreviations you don’t understand so, I put together a few to help you get by .☺😘

2a,2b,2c,3a,3b,3c,4a,4b,4c – Curl Types

Fine, medium, thick (coarse) – hair texture

Kinky hair – tightly twisted or coiled hair

Transitioning – process of growing out your kinks while still keeping the relaxed ends

BC – Big Chop

TWA – Teeny weeny afro

BAA – Big Ass Afro

BL – Back length

APL – Armpit length

BSL – Bra strap length

WL – Waist length

DIY – Do It Yourself

WDR – Wash day routine

Condish – Conditioner

COwash – Washing with only conditioner

DC/DT – Deep condition/Deep treatment

LOC – Liquid Oil Cream

LCO – Liquid Cream Oil

EVOO – Extra Virgin Olive Oil

EVCO – Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

EO – Essential Oil

AVG – Aloe Vera Gel

ACV – Apple Cidar Vinegar

PS – Protective Styling/style.

PJ -Product junkie

CC – Creamy crack meaning relaxers /texturizers
